Helen Levitt (1913-2009) devoted decades of her life to capturing the uncommon poetry of street life in New York. Men, women and children played out scenes of the every day in front of her camera.
Her work has been exhibited widely, including the Museum of Modern Art and the International Center of Photography in New York and the Fondation Henri-Cartier Bresson in Paris, to name a few.
