Harry Gruyaert has been a master of color photography for many years. He has traveled the world, including India, Morocco, Egypt and Ireland, published many books and has been exhibited widely.

“Cafe Belgica” explores the sense of community found in the cafes of Belgium of the 70s and 80s that Gruyaert knew so well in his youth. The warm color palate of the photographs creates a feeling of nostalgia for a time that has been gradually fading away over the years as social trends change.
