1955: Born on January 19th in Troy, New York.

1973-77: After studying Art, pursues a BA in Russian and Political Science at the State University of New York at Albany.

1979-81: Spends eight months as a graduate exchange student at Moscow State University, Soviet Union. Documents the experience in photographs. Completes an MA in Russian language and literature.

1983: Moves to New York. Begins working in the travel industry, specializing as an international travel consultant, involved for a time in the Russian market. 

1986: Reminded of the photos taken in Russia, enrolls in darkroom classes in black and white development and printing at the School of Visual Arts, New York, sparking a renewed interest in photography.

1988: First photograph in an exhibition, Central Park Biennial, New York. Visits Paris for the first time and begins to shoot extensively in what will become a long term project.

1992: Completes an Associates degree in Photography, Parsons School of Design, New York. Continues working as a travel consultant for international clients while creating a body of work in photography.

2015-Present: Focuses on taking pictures with a special interest in photojournalism, travel, urban settings, architecture and landscapes. Begins to self-publish books. Currently lives in Geneva, Switzerland.
