The Photography World lost one of its giants with the passing of William Klein on September 10, 2022 at age 96.
Known for his fashion photography as well as short films, Klein experimented with the visual image, especially in the darkroom, blurring images, adding grain, and printing unconventional versions of his contact sheets. He composed with unusual angles and shot much of his work on the street – techniques that broke with previous traditions of photography.Ā
