The Pyramid at the Louvre Museum, designed by the architect I. M. Pei, was completed in 1988. Despite some controversy after the project was announced, it eventually attained landmark status.
Just before taking this photograph, the ominous clouds began to break and provided a dramatic interplay between light, dark and the tip of the Pyramid.
